Whew! I finished the lunchbox tin I decided to make for my sister. She's pregnant with her first child and I thought 'how great would it be to give her a tin filled with baby announcements?' This is the front. I first tried to decoupage the paper on (thinking it might be like this Modge Podge I keep hearing about.) but the paper kept coming up in the corners so I simply applied some tape underneath and all seems okay.
The back.
I had a lot of fun but boy was it time consuming.

Revamped Layout
This was my original layout. Kinda plain isn't it? I thought so, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it needed. I decided to enlist some help from my sisters over at Swap and Crop Scrapbooking. I received some great suggestions. So with those ideas in mind, I revamped the layout to the one below...
oh, so much better. What do you think?

More Criss Cross Cards
I had so much fun doing yesterday's cris cross card that I wanted to do more. But what kind? I didn't have to ponder too long before the idea came to me. Birth announcements. Not mine of course but for my twin. God willing, she'll have her first baby in September.
So I decided that I would make her 24 birth announcements, enclosed in an altered lunch box. This is all a surprise, she knows nothing about it, so let's not tell.
So here are my first two proto-types. I like this one, it's simple and I would probably print off the info off the computer but as it was just an example, handwritten was okay.
But this one...This is awesome if I do say so myself.
I do have to increase the size of the onesie though. That way it'll fit more snug in the card.
So this weekend I am off to find baby boy paper and embellishments. I hope I can find some foot print brads. How awesome would those be?

My First Criss-Cross Card!
What a fun, quick, little project. It was an eay card to make...except for one little mishap with a piece of colored paper. I put too much adhesive one and didn't get it positioned correctly. I had to tear it off which didn't work out all that great, but I just flipped the flaps around, (thanks goodness it was the 1st flap I mucked up) and continued on.
The Finished Project.
The Inside Card.
Isn't he cute? I just love meeses.

The tulips are coming! The tulips are coming!
So are the daffodils, the hyacinth, the lillies and the bleeding heart.
I'm so glad spring is on it's way and winter is on it's way out. I won't say spring is here yet because as ya'll might now, this has been a loooonnnnggg winter. We were having snow showers last night. No accumulation but still, snow.
Of course with the appearance of flower buds, that means clean-up. All those darn leaves that weren't able to be removed last year because the snow came too soon are now in full view.
Where is my garden fairy anyway?
